Psychodermatology in treating Rosacea

Psychodermatology in treating Rosacea

Over the years, many suspected but unconfirmed causes have been reported to cause rosacea. These include the following factors: genetic predisposition, heredity, dyspepsia with gastric hyperacidity, inflammatory bowel disease and infection by Helicobacter pylori, seborrhoea, Demodex folliculorum mites, endocrine diseases, vitamin deficiencies, microcirculatory disorders, liver disease or psychogenic factors.

An emerging medical discipline, known as psychodermatology, uses a combined therapeutic and dermatological approach to treating skin conditions.

As an example, the masks chosen for our Sensitive Skin treatments calm skin instantaneously, and give the sensation of freshness. Aloe, cucumber, calendula, lemon, ylang-ylang, cedar and vitamin E are blended in our composition and are re-enforced by oils that communicate the “healing” messages to our skin and act as carriers for other important constituents. In combination with the draining massage the effect of skin calming and detoxification is immediate.
